Congratulations on having your child admitted to Yale College!
We received many strong applications for the Class of 2023, and our decision to admit him is in recognition of his athletic prowess, your tremendous generosity as an alumnus, and your ability to pick (and pay for) the best prep school and SAT coaching. We hope you will see this as the beginning of a new chapter and a vindication of all your parenting decisions. You have every reason to feel proud of your achievement.
For over three hundred years, Yale’s motto “Lux et Veritas” – “Light and Truth” – has guided its students, faculty, and alumni in their pursuit of knowledge and leadership. At Yale, your child will be able to grow, thrive, and explore alongside the children of equally accomplished parents. His Yale education will equip him with the wisdom and social graces to succeed in any field, including following in your footsteps and inheriting the family empire.
As a student athlete and a prospective recruit for the Yale Sailing Team, he was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants who were able to afford their own yacht. At Yale, he will also be able to take advantage of our professional coaches and state-of-the-art sporting facilities (or not!). Coming to Yale will be a wonderful opportunity for him to realize his full potential, and for you to vicariously relive fond memories of your time as a student here.
Please indicate his decision to accept our offer via the online reply form on his status portal. We look forward to welcoming both of you to our campus in the fall, and we know he’ll one day make us as proud as you did!
Congratulations again,
Jerome Quincy
